A fun way for children to learn about Math. This is a hands-on art project that incorporates mathematical concepts is great way to introduce children to geometry and fractions.
What you need
Thick corrugated cardboard
Colored paper (for a background)
First, tape the decorative colored background to the cardboard
On the tracing paper, draw your star.
Then use the tracing paper to mark where each pin should go and place the completed tracing paper on top of the cardboard.
Once the pins are in, gently rip the tracing paper away, leaving just the pins.
From there, begin to wrap the string from each pin, depending on the design. To get the look at the star design, work your way around the pins without overlapping.
